Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential/commercial addresses along established routes
- Sort and organize mail according to delivery sequence and postal regulations
- Safely operate delivery vehicles following traffic laws and USPS policies
- Collect outgoing mail and process customer transactions at mailboxes
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report discrepancies or hazards
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve postal inquiries
- Work in varied weather conditions and lift objects up to 70 pounds
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Physical capability to lift 70-pound mail trays and walk extended distances
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Ability to pass physical examination and stand/walk for long periods
- Basic computer literacy for USPS systems
