Responsibilities
- Oversee implementation and optimization of electronic health records (EHR) systems including VistA and Cerner
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives for health data systems ensuring HIPAA and VA compliance
- Coordinate with clinical staff to integrate health IT solutions into patient workflows
- Manage health data analytics projects to improve veteran care outcomes
- Provide technical training and support to healthcare providers on health IT systems
- Conduct system testing and troubleshooting for health information platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience with EHR systems implementation (VistA/Cerner experience required)
- VA Form 10-2850c Application for Associated Health Occupations required
- Active VA or federal security clearance or ability to obtain
- Experience with healthcare data analytics and reporting tools
- Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and VA health IT regulations
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
