Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate veterans' compensation, pension, and education benefit claims with 100% accuracy
- Conduct comprehensive interviews to gather medical and service-related evidence
- Interpret complex federal regulations (38 CFR) and apply them to individual cases
- Collaborate with medical professionals to develop effective treatment plans
- Represent VA at community outreach events to connect veterans with resources
- Maintain detailed case documentation in VA systems (VBMS, VBA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field
- Minimum 2 years federal benefits administration experience
- VA-accredited agent certification (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and veterans' case management software
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to veterans' advocacy
