Responsibilities
- Conduct weekend compliance inspections of public infrastructure and construction sites
- Review building plans and ensure adherence to UK safety regulations and standards
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with weekend engineering teams to address regulatory issues
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities in government databases
- Respond to weekend regulatory inquiries from contractors and property owners
- Participate in cross-departmental weekend emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in regulatory compliance or construction oversight
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations (Building Act 1984, etc.)
- Certification in Health & Safety (NEBOSH/IOSH preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Valid UK driving license (for site inspections)
- Proficiency in CAD software and regulatory compliance databases
