Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise inmate population during weekend shifts (Fri-Sun)
- Conduct security inspections and enforce facility protocols
- Document incidents and maintain accurate daily logs
- Respond to emergencies with de-escalation techniques
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies during transport operations
- Process visitor screening and controlled item inspections
- Participate in mandatory quarterly training drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Fri-Sun 6AM-6PM)
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
- Must be US citizen or permanent resident
- No felony convictions within past 10 years
