Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations with unwavering professionalism
- Conduct regular security patrols and perimeter checks to maintain institutional integrity
- Respond to emergencies and incidents using de-escalation techniques and crisis protocols
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation in compliance with state standards
- Screen visitors and packages following established security procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency situations
- Participate in mandatory training programs to enhance security skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must pass background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Oklahoma Peace Officer certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays without exception
- Strong conflict resolution skills and crisis management abilities
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and documentation
- Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age
