Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations
- Conduct routine security inspections and headcounts
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with tactical protocols
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation
- Operate security systems including surveillance and access control
- Transport inmates between facilities as needed
- Implement rehabilitation programs during weekend sessions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- T Peace Officer License (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
- Ability to pass physical fitness assessment
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- Basic CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work independently in high-stress environments
