Responsibilities
- Patrol designated city zones to deter crime and ensure public safety during weekend hours
- Respond to emergency calls, conduct investigations, and file detailed incident reports
- Engage with community members through outreach programs and neighborhood watch initiatives
- Collaborate with full-time officers during special events and weekend enforcement operations
- Maintain accurate records and evidence handling protocols
- Provide traffic control during weekend accidents and public gatherings
- Participate in continuous training on evolving law enforcement techniques and community policing
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree in criminal justice preferred
- Valid Florida Class E Driver's License and clean driving record
- Must pass background check, psychological evaluation, and physical fitness assessment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong communication skills with diverse community populations
- Previous law enforcement or security experience highly valued
- Must be a U.S. citizen and meet all state-mandated eligibility requirements
