Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute weekend operations for the Arizona State Pension Plan database and member services portal.
- Process and verify pension contribution adjustments, benefit calculations, and fund transfers with high accuracy.
- Respond to member inquiries regarding retirement eligibility, fund status, and weekend processing timelines.
- Ensure strict compliance with state government regulations, ERISA guidelines, and internal audit standards.
- Collaborate with the Monday-Friday operations team to resolve complex financial discrepancies and outstanding cases.
- Conduct routine audits of weekend transactions to ensure data integrity and security.
- Assist in the onboarding and training of temporary weekend staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pension administration, government benefits, or financial data processing.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) and pension management software.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with retirees and government officials.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee and financial information.
