Responsibilities
- Dispatch police, fire, and emergency medical services during weekend shifts
- Maintain calm communication during crisis situations
- Operate CAD systems and radio equipment with accuracy
- Document incident reports with meticulous attention to detail
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during complex emergencies
- Provide critical information to first responders in real-time
- Perform routine equipment checks and system maintenance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year dispatch/emergency services experience
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Proficiency in CAD systems and multi-channel radio operations
- Exceptional stress management and multitasking abilities
- Fluency in English and Spanish highly desirable
- EMT certification a plus
