Responsibilities
- Patrol designated city facilities and public spaces during weekend shifts to maintain security protocols
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents requiring law enforcement or public safety interventionMonitor surveillance systems and conduct regular security inspections of government properties
- Document incidents, activities, and observations using digital reporting systems
- Collaborate with weekend emergency response teams during critical incidents
- Provide visible security presence at community events and public gatherings
- Enforce city ordinances and safety regulations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
Qualifications
- Valid California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification or equivalent security certification
- Minimum 2 years of public safety or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (including nights, holidays, and rotating schedules)
- Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
- Proficient in digital reporting systems and surveillance technology
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and psychological evaluation
- Fluency in English and Spanish highly preferred
