Responsibilities
- Monitor access points and conduct security patrols at designated city facilities
- Operate surveillance systems and alarm monitoring equipment
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with emergency services
- Prepare detailed incident reports and security documentation
- Enforce city policies and safety regulations for visitors/staff
- Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance of security systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota Security Guard License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- Minimum 1 year security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday/Sunday) with flexible scheduling
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Proficient in surveillance technology and reporting systems
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with clean record
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
