Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce institutional policies with precision
- Conduct regular security inspections and headcounts to maintain facility integrity
- Respond to emergencies using de-escalation techniques and crisis protocols
- Document incidents and maintain detailed logs for compliance reporting
- Operate security systems including CCTV, alarms, and access controls
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during transport operations
- Provide mentorship and rehabilitation support to incarcerated individuals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Minimum 1 year security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Physical fitness to handle restraining procedures and long shifts
- Strong communication skills for conflict resolution and report writing
- Flexibility to work rotating weekend shifts (Sat/Sun)
