Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to state employees via phone, email, and in-person during weekend shifts.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues efficiently.
- Perform routine server maintenance and system updates to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Assist with user account management, permissions, and security compliance.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and technical procedures in the IT ticketing system.
- Collaborate with the week-day support team to escalate complex issues and ensure continuity of service.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical certification.
- CompTIA A+ and Security+ certifications are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware and network problems independently.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
