Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive forces impacting 2026-2030 markets
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AGI, synthetic biology)
- Partner with R&D to align innovation pipelines with long-term market evolution
- Present future outlooks to stakeholders through compelling data visualizations and narratives
- Build cross-functional 'future labs' to prototype solutions for anticipated challenges
- Advise product teams on future-proofing architectures and business models
- Author thought leadership pieces on industry transformation trajectories
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or trend analysis
- Proven track record of translating future insights into commercial strategy
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, biotech, etc.)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive presentation experience
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (Delphi, STEEP, cross-impact analysis)
- Portfolio demonstrating published future scenarios or trend reports
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, D3.js) preferred
