Responsibilities
- Develop 2026 technology roadmap by analyzing emerging trends across quantum, AI, and biotech domains
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Partner with product teams to integrate 2026 vision into 18-36 month development cycles
- Represent Horizon Labs at global futurism forums and industry conferences
- Build and lead a dedicated Future Technologies research task force
- Translate technical capabilities into compelling investor narratives and market strategies
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D pioneers
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in futurism or emerging tech roles
- Proven track record translating future trends into commercial products or services
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, neuro-technology, or climate tech
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to model complex interdependencies
- Published thought leadership in futurism or technology strategy (IEEE, MIT Press, etc.)
- Experience building and leading high-impact innovation teams
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field
