Responsibilities
- Lead quantum-AI algorithm development for 2026-era applications in drug discovery and materials science
- Collaborate with quantum hardware engineers to optimize error-correction protocols
- Mentor cross-functional teams of ML engineers and quantum physicists
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Author breakthrough publications in Nature/Science journals
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise clients
- Present findings at global tech summits including Web Summit and TechCrunch Disrupt
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum algorithms (QAOA, VQE) or tensor networks
- Publication record in top-tier AI/quantum conferences (NeurIPS, QIP)
- Expertise in Python, Qiskit, and cloud quantum platforms (AWS Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Proven track record of securing research funding or patents
- Experience mentoring research scientists through PhD completion
- Deep understanding of quantum advantage in NISQ-era systems
