Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Architect and validate quantum processor architectures targeting 2026 scalability milestones
- Collaborate with government agencies on national quantum security initiatives
- Manage cross-functional teams of quantum physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants and partnerships
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Drive quantum computing adoption across Fortune 500 client partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record publishing in top quantum computing research venues
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant system design
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubit technologies
- Experience securing DoD/DARPA or NSF research grants
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Exceptional leadership managing R&D teams of 15+ professionals
