Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop strategic roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Partner with C-suite executives to embed future-tech capabilities into product roadmaps
- Author white papers and thought leadership on technological disruption timelines
- Manage a $5M innovation portfolio for high-impact R&D projects
- Represent the company at global tech summits (Davos, Web Summit, etc.)
- Mentor a cross-disciplinary team of futurists and data scientists
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech strategy with demonstrable impact on product roadmaps
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Published research in quantum computing or generative AI
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Deep network within DARPA, IEEE, and top-tier research institutions
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to stakeholders
