Responsibilities
- Manage departmental calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
- Process financial transactions, purchase orders, and expense reports with weekly payroll processing
- Maintain digital and physical records ensuring compliance with state retention policies
- Serve as primary point of contact for public inquiries via phone, email, and in-person
- Prepare official correspondence, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite
- Coordinate logistics for departmental events and training sessions
- Assist with onboarding new employees and orientation processes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years administrative support experience in government or corporate setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Tennessee driver's license required for occasional inter-office travel
- Experience with state procurement systems (e.g., eBuyTN) preferred
