Responsibilities
- Support departmental operations through document processing, filing, and record maintenance
- Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, and stakeholder communications
- Perform data entry and maintain digital filing systems with strict confidentiality protocols
- Prepare routine reports and correspondence using Microsoft Office Suite
- Provide frontline reception support including visitor greeting and call routing
- Coordinate logistics for public hearings and community outreach events
- Assist with procurement processes and inventory management
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or 60 college credits in Public Administration, Urban Studies, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the US
- Basic knowledge of NYC government structure preferred
- Experience with public sector environments a plus
