Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll documentation for 50+ employees using NY State payroll systems
- Manage departmental scheduling, calendar coordination, and meeting logistics
- Prepare official correspondence, reports, and public records requests
- Coordinate with state agencies on compliance documentation and audits
- Maintain confidential personnel files and HR records per state protocols
- Assist with vendor invoicing and budget tracking using SAP systems
- Support public service initiatives through community outreach coordination
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years administrative/clerical experience in government setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and NY State payroll software
- Strong knowledge of NY State HR policies and procedures
- Ability to handle confidential data with discretion and integrity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- NY State residency required at time of appointment
- Valid NYS driver's license or ability to use public transit
