Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to departmental teams including scheduling, correspondence, and records management
- Assist with public inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Process departmental documentation, permits, and applications ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations Maintain digital and physical filing systems with strict attention to confidentiality protocols
- Coordinate meetings, events, and travel arrangements for department staff
- Utilize city software systems (e.g., SAP, PeopleSoft) for data entry and reporting
- Support cross-functional projects as assigned by department leadership
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year administrative support or customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Texas driver's license may be required for certain duties
