Responsibilities
- Manage High-Volume Correspondence: Receive, review, and route incoming mail and emails efficiently to ensure timely responses.
- Prepare Reports: Compile, organize, and analyze data to produce accurate reports for state officials and stakeholders.
- Public Assistance: Serve as the first point of contact for the public, providing information regarding department services and procedures.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems, both electronic and physical, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and booking conference rooms.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a government or public sector setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn department-specific software systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods and operate standard office equipment.
