Responsibilities
- Manage departmental communications, scheduling, and record-keeping for 10+ staff members
- Process travel reimbursements, procurement requests, and budget documentation
- Coordinate public outreach events and stakeholder meetings with community partners
- Maintain digital databases and generate monthly performance reports
- Assist with onboarding processes and new employee documentation
- Support emergency response coordination during weather events or infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with state procurement and HR regulations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years administrative support experience in government or regulated industry
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience with state procurement systems (e.g., PEIMS, SMART)
- Ability to obtain Texas Notary Public certification within 30 days
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
