Responsibilities
- Process and maintain departmental records, permits, and documentation with strict attention to detail
- Provide administrative support to engineering teams including scheduling, correspondence, and data entry
- Assist with public inquiries regarding municipal projects and procedures
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain minutes for departmental briefings
- Manage digital filing systems ensuring compliance with government record-keeping standards
- Support budget tracking and procurement processes for assigned projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on community outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years administrative experience in public sector or regulated environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to obtain required background clearance and government security clearance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- US citizenship or permanent residency required
