Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive aircraft inspections and evaluations to ensure compliance with FAA regulations
- Investigate aviation accidents and incidents to determine root causes and safety recommendations
- Review and approve aircraft maintenance procedures, modifications, and repairs
- Collaborate with manufacturers, operators, and maintenance facilities to resolve safety concerns
- Develop and deliver safety education programs to industry stakeholders
- Analyze aviation data trends to identify emerging safety risks
- Prepare detailed technical reports and regulatory compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in aviation, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required
- Minimum 3 years of aviation maintenance experience
- Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations (FARs Part 1, 43, 91, 135, 145)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 25%
