Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of aircraft maintenance facilities and repair stations
- Enforce federal aviation regulations (FARs) through audits and compliance evaluations
- Investigate aviation incidents and accidents to determine root causes
- Review and approve maintenance procedures and technical documentation
- Collaborate with industry stakeholders to resolve safety concerns
- Provide technical guidance to aviation professionals on regulatory compliance
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and enforcement recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Technology, or related field
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on aviation maintenance experience
- Valid FAA Class II Medical Certificate
- Demonstrated knowledge of FAA regulations (14 CFR Parts 1, 43, 145, 183)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail
