Responsibilities
- Conduct surveillance and patrols to detect and prevent illegal border crossings
- Apprehend individuals violating immigration and customs laws
- Operate specialized equipment including night vision, radar, and surveillance systems
- Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate case documentation
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies
- Respond to emergency situations and humanitarian aid requests
- Participate in anti-smuggling operations and contraband interdiction
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to pass background investigation and polygraph
- Physical fitness to meet CBP's rigorous standards
- Basic Spanish language proficiency (written and oral)
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Ability to work rotating shifts and in extreme weather conditions
- No felony convictions and good moral character
