Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail: Sort and deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers on an established route in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with customers while handling their mail with care and respect.
- Vehicle Operation: Operate a letter carrier vehicle (if applicable) in all weather conditions and adhere to traffic laws.
- Mail Handling: Handle mailpieces efficiently, including lifting heavy packages and maneuvering them up to 50 lbs.
- Route Management: Maintain knowledge of the assigned route and adapt to changes in delivery procedures.
- Security: Ensure the security of mail and facilities at all times.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is required.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks required for the job.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills to interact with customers and supervisors.
