Responsibilities
- Maintain and certify official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes
- Oversee election administration and voter registration processes
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Prepare agendas and coordinate logistics for City Council meetings
- Administer oaths of office and notarize official documents
- Lead records management digitization and preservation initiatives
- Serve as custodian of the city seal and official documents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years municipal government or records management experience
- Texas Certified Municipal Clerk (TCMC) designation preferred
- Proficiency with records management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Deep knowledge of Texas Open Records Act and election laws
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity
