Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and accessible official city records including ordinances, minutes, and resolutions
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with Indiana's public access laws
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Administer oaths of office and notary public services for city officials
- Coordinate with city council, mayor's office, and other departments on legislative documentation
- Preserve historical documents and implement digital archiving systems
- Lead public outreach initiatives to enhance civic participation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in records management or local government
- Proficiency with document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Deep knowledge of Indiana open records laws and election procedures
