Responsibilities
- Oversee city records management, including document retention and destruction policies
- Prepare and maintain official council meeting agendas, minutes, and legislative records
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Manage public records requests ensuring compliance with California Public Records Act
- Authenticate and maintain the official city seal and corporate documents
- Provide administrative support to the City Council and public commissions
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Proficiency with records management systems and document automation
- Deep knowledge of California Government Code and municipal regulations
- Excellent written/verbal communication and public interaction skills
- Certification as Municipal Clerk (MMC) or equivalent preferred
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
