Responsibilities
- Oversee official city records, including ordinances, minutes, and public documents
- Manage municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Ensure compliance with Arizona open meeting laws and public records requests
- Coordinate city council agendas, hearings, and legislative documentation
- Maintain digital and physical archives with rigorous security protocols
- Administer oaths of office and notarial services for city officials
- Liaise with state agencies regarding legislative updates and compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 3+ years experience in records management or municipal governance
- Deep knowledge of Arizona open meeting laws (ARS 38-431) and public records statutes
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality
