Responsibilities
- Administer city elections and voter registration processes in compliance with state/federal regulations
- Manage and preserve official municipal records, ordinances, and legislative documents
- Oversee public records requests and ensure timely, accurate information dissemination
- Prepare and maintain City Council meeting agendas, minutes, and documentation
- Lead records management digitization initiatives for enhanced accessibility
- Serve as custodian of the city seal and official documents
- Coordinate with other departments to implement information governance policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or public records management experience
- California Municipal Clerk certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Expertise in public records laws (CPRA, Brown Act) and election procedures
- Advanced proficiency with records management software and document imaging systems
- Exceptional written communication skills for official documentation
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
