Responsibilities
- Manage official municipal records, ordinances, and minutes with precision and confidentiality
- Oversee public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Coordinate and document City Council proceedings, including agenda preparation and minute-taking
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Lead document management systems and implement digital archiving solutions
- Provide administrative support to the Mayor's Office and city departments
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in municipal records management or public administration
- Proficiency in document management systems and digital archiving tools
- Deep understanding of Louisiana's Open Records Act and municipal governance protocols
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with public meeting administration and election processes
