Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate municipal records including ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes
- Coordinate City Council agendas, public hearings, and legislative documentation
- Oversee records management, retention policies, and public information requests
- Administer oaths of office and serve as official custodian of city seals
- Lead voter registration initiatives and election coordination
- Manage municipal licenses, permits, and compliance documentation
- Serve as primary liaison for public records requests under Ohio Sunshine Laws
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in municipal government or records management
- Proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Deep knowledge of Ohio Sunshine Laws and municipal governance protocols
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written/verbal communication and public speaking abilities
- Ohio Notary Public certification required
- Experience with agenda management software (e.g., CivicPlus)
