Responsibilities
- Manage municipal records, archives, and official documents with precision
- Support Seattle City Council meetings, including agenda preparation and minute-taking
- Oversee public records requests and compliance with RCW requirements
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Coordinate legislative tracking and ordinance management
- Lead records retention and digital transformation initiatives
- Serve as primary liaison for public information transparency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years municipal government or records management experience
- Expert knowledge of Washington State public records laws (RCW 42.56)
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
