- Manage and preserve official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes in compliance with state regulations
- Oversee election administration processes including voter registration and polling place coordination
- Process and record official documents such as contracts, deeds, and municipal resolutions
- Respond to public records requests with efficiency and transparency
- Administer oaths of office and notarize official documents
- Manage the city's seal and certify official municipal publications
- Coordinate with city departments to ensure legislative compliance and documentation accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Certification as Municipal Clerk (MMC) or equivalent professional credential
- Proficiency in records management systems and document archival software
- Deep knowledge of Michigan election law and open records statutes
