Responsibilities
- Oversee official municipal records management, including document preservation and retrieval systems
- Administer city elections, including ballot preparation, polling site coordination, and results certification
- Prepare and maintain City Council agendas, minutes, and legislative documentation
- Manage municipal licenses, permits, and business registrations with compliance oversight
- Serve as custodian of city seals and official documents with authentication authority
- Coordinate public records requests in accordance with Colorado Open Records Act
- Develop and implement records retention policies aligned with state regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in municipal government or records management
- Colorado Notary Public certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Deep knowledge of Colorado election laws and municipal governance
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to legal compliance
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
