- Maintain official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes with precision
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Coordinate City Council meetings, including agenda preparation and minute documentation
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Administer oaths of office and public notarizations
- Facilitate public access to government information while maintaining confidentiality
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Public Administration or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Expertise in New Mexico public records laws (NMSA 1978 Chapter 14)
- Proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
