Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and secure official city records, ordinances, and minutes with meticulous attention to detail
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and election administration compliance
- Coordinate public records requests and ensure timely, accurate responses
- Prepare and certify official documents including contracts, resolutions, and proclamations
- Provide administrative support to the City-County Council and Mayor's office
- Develop and implement records management systems aligned with state regulations
- Serve as the official custodian of the city seal and historical documents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Deep knowledge of Indiana election laws and open records statutes
- Proficiency with municipal software systems (e.g., Tyler, Munis)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and process improvement initiatives
