Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain comprehensive official records, including minutes, resolutions, ordinances, and contracts.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and packets for City Commission and Board meetings.
- Provide exceptional customer service to the public, vendors, and staff regarding inquiries and document requests.
- Coordinate and support the scheduling of official meetings, including logistics and minute-taking.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local laws regarding public records and open meetings.
- Oversee the filing system and archives to ensure efficient retrieval of historical data.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Paralegal Studies preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a clerical, administrative, or government setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and record management software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft professional correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
