Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all official city records, ordinances, and legislative documents with precision
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and certification processes
- Prepare and distribute City Council agendas, minutes, and official correspondence
- Serve as custodian of the City Seal and authorize official document authentication
- Implement and maintain records management systems ensuring compliance with PA Sunshine Act
- Coordinate public records requests while balancing transparency and legal requirements
- Provide administrative support to Mayor's Office and City Council members
- Train staff on records retention policies and document security protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in municipal government or records management
- Deep knowledge of Pennsylvania Public Records Law and Sunshine Act
- Expertise in election administration procedures and voter systems
- Advanced proficiency in document management software (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional written communication skills for drafting legislative documents
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean driving record
- Notary Public certification preferred
