Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate official records, files, and correspondence for the City Clerk's Office, ensuring strict confidentiality and adherence to archival standards.
- Receive, direct, and assist the public with inquiries regarding city ordinances, meeting minutes, and administrative processes with a focus on exceptional customer service.
- Prepare, process, and distribute meeting agendas, packets, and official minutes for City Council and Board meetings.
- Perform high-volume data entry and filing tasks using various database systems to ensure the integrity of city data.
- Support administrative operations by handling incoming calls, mail, and scheduling appointments for department staff.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, resolutions, and official correspondence required for municipal governance.
- Collaborate with other city departments to facilitate the smooth operation of city business.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative, clerical, or government office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse community members.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary government security clearance and pass a background check.
