Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, including meeting minutes, ordinances, and resolutions.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, packets, and supporting materials for the City Council and commissions.
- Receive, log, and respond to public inquiries regarding records, open meeting laws, and administrative procedures.
- Perform complex data entry, word processing, and document formatting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate logistics for public meetings, including room setup, audio-visual equipment, and guest management.
- Assist in the organization and preservation of historical archives and public information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Paralegal Studies is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative support, records management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and government record management software.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to proofread documents for errors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public and city officials.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict deadlines.
