Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes with the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist the public and city officials at the front counter, answering inquiries regarding city services, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare, proofread, and process a wide variety of administrative documents, including agendas, correspondence, and reports.
- Perform data entry and database management to ensure up-to-date municipal information.
- Coordinate and support city council meetings, including preparing packets and taking official minutes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal record-keeping regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline administrative processes.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in administrative or clerical roles within a government or corporate environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
