Responsibilities
- Perform accurate data entry, filing, and record management for various city departments.
- Answer incoming phone calls, direct inquiries, and greet visitors at the front desk in a professional manner.
- Assist the Public Works and Administration teams with daily administrative tasks and document processing.
- Maintain and update digital and physical filing systems to ensure easy retrieval of information.
- Prepare correspondence, memos, reports, and other documents as requested by supervisors.
- Process applications and forms for city permits and services with strict attention to detail.
- Assist in organizing community events and civic meetings when needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a clerical, administrative, or customer service role is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding city records.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings or weekends if required.
