Responsibilities
- Maintain and certify all official city records, ordinances, and resolutions
- Oversee public records requests and ensure legal compliance
- Manage city elections and voter registration processes
- Prepare and distribute official meeting agendas and minutes
- Administer oaths of office and public notary services
- Coordinate with city departments on legislative tracking
- Implement records retention policies and digital archiving systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Deep knowledge of Kentucky Revised Statutes Chapter 61A (Open Records Act)
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and records management software
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience managing public records requests and compliance audits
