Responsibilities
- Maintain and safeguard official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes
- Coordinate and document proceedings of the Metro Council and public hearings
- Process public records requests while ensuring compliance with open records laws
- Manage voter registration and election documentation systems
- Oversee business licensing and permit issuance processes
- Train staff on records management protocols and compliance standards
- Collaborate with legal department on legislative documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal records management experience
- Expertise in Tennessee public records and open meeting laws
- Proficiency with records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Exceptional written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality
- Tennessee Notary Public certification preferred
- Experience with council meeting documentation procedures
